TMJ Treatment

Overview

Temporomandibular joint dysfunction (TMD/TMJ) is a tricky disorder that causes jaw and ear pain, headaches, locking or popping of the joint, and neck pain. Through extraoral (out of the mouth) treatments, I use a variety of clinically-informed methods to release not just the jaw muscles, but also the joint and surrounding tissue to bring lasting relief. A typical session lasts 35-50 minutes, and are usually performed once a week for 3-4 weeks, then as needed for maintenance by the patient.
